This girl is one of a kind!
From the first time I met Laci I knew we were going to hit it off. All the coffee shops were closed (due to the pandemic) so we decided to meet up at the Target Starbucks in Colleyville. Chatting through our masks and walking laps, we found ourselves sitting in the outdoor section laughing and having the greatest time - looking away and avoiding anyone who worked there for fear they would run us off. That day I knew this girl is special. Laci opted to join the Dream Team (a year of special shoots and activities). I couldn’t be more thankful!
It was my honor to get to spend the day with Laci and her mom running around Grapevine. A city that is very important to her family. Everywhere we turned there was someone waving and saying hello to us. We even took a photo next to a plaque honoring her grandfather on Main Street.
We had a super fun day grabbing some shots in the cutest candy store, Rocket Fizz, (where Laci works). If you haven’t been there, I suggest you take a peek next time you are on Main Street in Grapevine. As we walked along with main taking cute photos in front of the theatre and boutique shops we noticed our next location was occupied. Since I’m always chasing the light we had to think fast about a new spot. Laci said, “My Aunt and Uncle live down the street. Maybe we could use their house?” Ummm, I’m so glad because they had the cutest dang yard on the block. (You may find me sneaking around there on my next photoshoot.) Check out Laci’s adorable overalls, I think they look perfect with the airstream.
Throughout this year Laci has proven to be one of the most caring, genuine, and talented girls I’ve ever met. She is up for anything, lifting others up in the process. I’m excited for her future at Abilene Christina University, I have no doubt she will continue to do amazing things.
